He had a good tone, was reasonably precise and played mainly with a pick. Sounds good in the production, so I'd agree. A lot of bassists people think were great are overrated.

Is it bad that I don't own any Nirvana albums? o_0

Only songs I've heard are Smells Like Teen Spirit and Come As You Are

Are the rest of their stuff better? Which albums do y'all recommend?

There is only three studio to choose from: Bleach, Nevermind and In Utero. So I recommend you listen to all three.

Insecticide , anyone? "Aneurysm" is kickass. That album gives you the more raw Nirvana, which is kinda lacking from Nevermind and In Utero.

I like Nirvana a lot. I think that there are many new bands out there trying to imitate his voice and guitar style, but you can always tell the difference. I only like about 5 or 6 songs but I still think Kurt Cobain is a very interesting person.

Does anyone here think Kurt was murdered? I think there's some pretty decent evidence that raises that question.

Gunny the sentient shotgun did it.

I just watched the documentary called "Kurt and Courtney", it was pretty interesting. El Duce is a crazy bastard and his music was horrible, but he says that Courtney offered him 50,000 dollars to kill kurt. I believed him too. He said he wished he had taken the offer and he knows someone that did take the offer, said his name was Allen. He even passed a polygraph test.

^^too bad El Duce is already dead so there's no direct evidence anymore

you still have me though - Il Duce

seriously, my fave Nirvana is Bleach, i like In Utero and Incesticide just fine but Nevermind? I dunno, it's just too schizphrenic and the only thing resonant about it is that it reminds me of this Belgian girl i had a crush on who was heavily into it

Nirvana and Kurt Cobain's music and popularity has basically been dormant for a few years+ now. Why encourage the subject? Alice In Chains is the missing link..
