Exactly, kids need to start somewhere, you dont learn guitar by playing Steve Vai stuff, you start with the basics, of all the billions of people around the world who practice guitar, SLTS is almost always the first thing they ever learn to play, and several years later they will be playing hard stuff. And Cobain did inspire millions of kids to pick up guitar and now many of them have evolved from Cobains basic riffs to a much more professional level of playing. That has to count
for something.
