Slam Death

I'm looking for recommendations. So far I've got Devourment, Disgorge, Gorgasm, Guttural Secrete, Internal Bleeding, Stabwound, Dying Fetus, and Decrepit Birth.

I'd also appreciate it if you could point me in the direction of upload links (or provide them via PM)

I've heard of a lot of those bands but what's slam death?

enemyat_thesix 02-07-2008 02:32 PM

it's a subgenre of brutal death focusing on pit riffs and the occasional dm breakdown.

in layman's terms, lots of chugging, and ridiculously guttural vocals generally focusing on deviant, violent sexual activity

Try Cliteater. I'm not sure what a pit riff is, but the vocals sound about right with the subject matter.

Putrid Inbred fit the description, maybe a bit less chugging than you'd like.

I know this is a very old thread, but I need to bump this up...

...how the hell do you forget the freaking EPITOME of slam, Waking the Cadaver

SATCHMO 12-07-2009 02:51 PM

Really? For your first post you needed to bump a two year old thread that still hasn't made it halfway into its first page to talk about a band that no one cares about?

Yes, bcause Waking the Cadaver is absolutely essential when talking about slam...its like talking about thrash without mentioning Slayer.

I have a friend you could talk to about this. I don't think it's slam death, but do you have any Rompeprop, **** and Ball Torture or Torso****?
