I hate to bump this, but I was at Beck's show last night at the Masonic Center in San Fransisco. There was almost no talking, and it was all jaming.
Anyways, I just wanted to ask if the new album was really anything special. Thanks. |

Here's a genre that I daresay most people who are familiar with Jeff Beck probably wouldn't think of when they think of his music...
Jeff Beck - Rockabilly Set |
Very cool. He was the blueprint for all other guitar players, even Setzer, Perkins and Cochran.

RIP. I'm only really familiar with his mid-70s fusion period, I love the Wired album. Him plus Jan Hammer on synths, you can't go wrong. |
Can't get the link to work right.
Some of his best work is when other's take off his reigns. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YRWRRBX3TB0 |
Absolutely. His renditions of A Day In The Life, Nessun Dorma, and quite a few others are incredible.
I was fortunate enough to see one of the shows from this tour, sitting 30th row center, and it's still the second best concert I've ever been to. #1 one being him and SRV on the Guitar Shop tour with nose bleed seats. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJErzI-aP1M You could see the admiration and respect in Jennifers eyes the entire time. Kinda like Tal Wilkenfeld when she toured with him. He liked to surround himself with other phenomenal musicians to make sure everything was perfect. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lw8fBR_XiPs |
