STP re-union (albums, vocalist, show, 90's, band)

I heard from one of my friends that Velvet Revolver broke up and Scott Weiland is back with the Stone Temple Pilots.

Please tell me this is true.

They are a confirmed band to play the Calgary, Alberta show of the Virgin Music Festival, so it must be pretty legit.

I read in the latest issue of Rolling Stone that Scott Weiland has officially quit Velvet Revolver.

Slash said it was long time coming and it wasn't for a STP reunion.

i thought weiland got kicked out of velvet revolver? either way, im sure the stp reunion wont go so well.

I think he "quit" before he was actually removed from the band. Slash wanted him out before the first album dropped, so I can't believe he lasted as long as he did.

Ill tell you what though... They put on one hell of a show when I saw them.

Still STP are no slouch act. They put on a hell of a show and they know what people show up to hear. Core still is one of the more solid albums of the 90's and while their later material left more to be desired, they have a pretty decent catalog.

Core is a fantastic album, easily one of my favorites in my collection. I think the time away from STP will help Weiland through this tour and I think it will be a success. I am going to get tickets for sure.
