Rob is a good bassist but nobody will be as good with metallica as Cliff, theyre just the perfect fit.
I'm rather curious to find out how they sound with Rob writing and no Bob Rock (thank god he's gone).

...think about it!!!Two of the worst albums from both bands, yet Metallica is still trying to claim that that album is one of their best, while at the same time making a video for it (Some Kind Of Monster) and calling it their rawest and heaviest ever...lol!!!I don't think Dave Mustaine ever claimed that Risk was his best or that he should ask the radio to play songs to try and find a hit.Even more noticeable is the fact that he called the album Risk...lol.I wonder what that means...lol!!!:laughing:

My main problems with Megadeth are.

A. Dave Mustaines singing.
B. Dave Mustaines inept soloing.

Yes, he's amazing, but he hasn't quite developed the classic Metallica style and I don't think he ever will.I gotta mention the St. Anger album as a terrible album, although it's not totally his fault.Rob did a good job coming in to the band and was probally one of Metallica's best choices of a replacement at the time, yet he hasn't fit in quite as well as Cliff and Jason instantly did right from the start, ya know?

Maybe some of you guys can call Rob the better bassist when compared to Jason and Cliff, but he just hasn't yet made an album with Metallica that could ever be anywhere as close as good as ...And Justice For All or Master Of Puppets.Facts are facts, ya know?I still would love to hear the difference in Metallica's next album...if they make one...and I can almost guarantee that it would atleast surpass St. Anger in terms of greatness.I would be thrilled if Metallica's next album was anywhere near as good as Rob's work on Jerry Cantrell's album Degradation Trip with Mike Bordin.Lets see what happens though.:beer:

I happen to be listening to Metallica right this very moment, Garage Inc., Wiskey In The Jar. Now, as for who's better, Imma go with Megadeath. Imma keep it simple and say I just think they sound better.

Are you just making this up in your head? How did Jason fit instantly? Was it the constant hazing he endured or was it the turning down of all his contributions to ...And Justice for All?

I'm pretty sure there's no bass at all on ...And Justice for all, just muted guitar. Does anyone else hear the same thing?

Can`t say I noticed the bass.

I did note that they used empty cereal boxes instead of drums though

mmm cereal, I can't find bass on that album for the life of me, if it's there it's extremely low in the mix.

Their is no bass, and the band has made a few explanations for this. One being that it was a mistake in the final mix of the album, and the other one being that it was intentional to give the new guy a hard time.
