Hmm, the list has a rather familiar feel to it.

Really good list, would have liked Brian May a little bit more up there

Naturally I haven't heard enough of all guitarists to write down a good/fair list, but at least I have to say that John Petrucci is easily my favourite guitarist. ^^ Not only because he's very fast and play lots of different styles well, but also because his songwriting is really appealing to me.

They're both good. If you think Trey Spruance is not a good guitarist you really need to hear some Secret Chiefs 3

George Lynch at 214?

Behind Cobain?

Wow, would have done some more listening before diving into a 215 top guitarists thread. Also, I would've included some outside advice. You know, from other people.

Not a bad list if you did it yourself though. Although Hendrix at number 1 is a little hard to swallow, I would say more like 3rd.

If you feel you could do a better list of 215 guitarists I say go for it.

Hank Garland and Mark Tilton need to be on this list.

Well the quality of the list is subjective to personal opinion, and someone will always have something nevatige to say.

I was mearly commenting and I did offer kudos for such a tedious effort done by one person.

And honestly, I'm just not up to it.

Just wondering, but who would you put ahead of Hendrix? I'm notmuch of afan, but I can't think of anyone who would go above him on a list that wasn't made by me.

1. Jimmy Page
2. David Gilmour
3. Jimi Hendrix
4. Pete Townsend
5. Jeff Beck

Short summary right off the top of my head.
