Yes but the mainstreaming of it killed it. And it wasn't that good to begin with.

Grunge was pretty good to begin with. Bands like Mudhoney made great underground music that had a real sense of purpose. But im talking about bands like Creed and Silverchair that gave the genre a bad name.

Yeah, Creed sounds the same in every song. Now Alter Bridge sounds the same as Creed.
