in all honesty i don't hate Nickelback, but yeah their music has been pretty stagnant for like ever. plus their songs seem so ****ing processed to me.

but damn it if they don't have staying power.

I don't know where you're from, man. But Radiohead is only somewhat popular in the states.
Nickelback is pop, pure and simple. Their sound is clearly industry studio formula. They're right along with Creed, Puddle of Mudd, Trapt, Staind, and Fuel. All over the radio, had their time on MTV, always playing at the bar. If they actually write their own songs, then they write them radio friendly to make a big living off of them. That's why I suggest that it be moved to the Pop section.

You could consider Black Sabbath popular, mainly because of how Ozzy and his retarded family blew up MTV like a fat guy blows up a bowling alley ****ter. But the thing about Sabbath was that they wrote their own songs, they didn't write them to a particular formula, all of their songs sound different, and they were figureheads of a new movement in music, and that's why they became popular in their day.

Miles is only popular in certain circles. Jazz isn't what it was 50-60 years ago. Don't lump Miles in with the likes of Nickelback.

We're not lumping, we're talking about popularity. Black Sabbath is popular for being a creator of Metal and making good music. Miles makes good music also. They are both popular. Radiohead is also popular, I'm in the states and I know that. You're changing subjects and not making very much sense.

i hate nickelback so much man.

I remember being kind of into their first single 'breathe' or about a week maybe. That's about it. They can go away any time now.
