Deep Purple B'ham NEC in '93 comes a close second though - smoke on the water by the original line up! :D |
Foreigner - back in the 80's - had NOTHING to do with me being front row! ;)
They were bloody great! |

Not even close tbh - Deep Purple in '93 - Smoke on the Water with the lineup that did it in '72 blows quo away tbh :P
Ozzfest 2001 also quality and as for Dynamo open air.... :D Company for Quo was just fine! ;) |
Nah - its got nothing to do with that - must have been the company :(

ive been to so many good shows, hard to pick a favorite. But one of the funnest that comes to mind is:
The Meatmen w/ The Pietasters, Wellington, Section 8, some other local bands I remember it being a full moon, cuz Tesco Vee kept mentioning it. A few local bands played first (dont remember who), then my band (section 8) played which pretty much wore me out. Luckily Wellington played next and the crowd got a nice rest while we all sat down on the floor while they played their butt rock metalish set. Then the place came alive again when The Pietasters took the stage (one of the most energetic ska bands i think ive seen) and The Meatmens set was so fun, tesco came out in his all white ABBA jumpsuit complete with rhinestones, and rocked the place, shooting the crowd with his super ping pong ball gun in between songs. A pretty crazy night that ended up with a nice doobie being smoked with Tesco in the parking lot afterwards, making fun of the goths that were showing up for the clubs "after hours" scene. |
Heh gigs like that are usually great!

If I believed in God, I would definately say that Jacoby Shaddix is pretty close to being it.. (I used to say that Aaron Lewis was God, but then they made their 4th and I lost all my respect in them) |
