Dethklok is awesome

fantastic cartoon.
cant wait for season 3. supposed to drop in fall of 09.

i never knew till recently they had some fairly big names doing cameos;
from faith no more to metallica.

I didn't want to make a new thread so I'm bumping this one. I (obviously, if you've seen my avatar) quite like Metalocalypse. And Elephant Sack is right. It was Corpsegrinder, not Barnes. BUT it was Brandon Small who does the voice of Nathan Explosion. Fisher does the voice of the Executioner, the brother of the assassin that was sent to kill Dethklok and killed by Murderface's cod-piece :)

Favourite song, as you can probably guess from my sig is Bloodtrocuted.

i like hatredcopter a lot for some reason...i find it hilarious. i like how this band can poke fun at all the typical metal stuff while taking it serious at the same time.

I find Dethklok to very much a satirical Melodeath band. They take the mickey out of Death Metal through their songs about death, destruction and murder. That is generally what people think DM is about anyways, so they play a joke about it. I love watching the Coffee Jingle! Death Metal COFFEE!!!!

I find Dethklok has some interesting ideas that have been input into their music.
For example, you get songs like Murmaider, Coffee Jingle, Bloodrocuted, Hatred Copter and Birthday Dethday.

The music I like, although I'd not say it is anywhere near the best example of Death Metal anywhere in the world, it is lighthearted and gets the job done as far as it does what you'd expect a Death Metal band to sound like.

The show, I honestly cannot stand. I tried to watch the first series, and I could notunderstand why there was so much hype about the show. I cant really remember anything that ever made me laugh out loud, most of the jokes raised a smile from me and that was it.

Maybe I should give it another chance (I have the DVD, and they are only 10 minutes or so long iirc).

I love the show. The music...is ok. There are a few songs that are ok, but nothing getting too excited about.

Metalocalypse had me in stiches the firs time I saw it.
My favorite bits of the show would be the episode where they try to go food shopping, the death phones, and Murderface's "No big deal, it's just totally diamond encrusted with a titanium base".

As for the music, well it's a good laugh but I don't really take it seriously.

The show is pretty funny. The band is pretty good.
