Faith No More reunion- Official Announcement
I haven't seen this yet:
Faith No More to reunite for European tour | Music | guardian.co.uk Faith No More to reunite for European tour Mike Patton's alternative metal giants have confirmed they are re-forming for the first time in 10 years Faith No More are to reunite, Mike Patton has announced. Only he's not making much of a fuss about it. Last year's rumours were confirmed in a statement released this week by Patton's publicist. Buried at the end of a long blurb about Crank 2: High Voltage – a film of great interest to everyone, we're certain – is news to stop the hearts of impatient Faith No More fans. "[Patton's] upcoming schedule includes a performance with labelmates Zu," the statement reads, "the Coachella [festival] with Rahzel ... and the highly anticipated reunion tour with Faith No More in Europe this summer." Patton's alternative metal band have not released any music since 1997's Album of the Year and have not performed together since 1998. Though fans have spent the last decade pushing for a reunion, tensions between former bandmates – and Patton's cavalcade of other projects – have prevented this dream from becoming a reality. In a way, this offhand reference is the most appropriate place for a reunion announcement. Patton's mixed-up priorities were blamed for Faith No More's dissolution, and it seems fitting that their reunion should in turn be a distraction from projects like, er, the Crank 2: High Voltage soundtrack. Recorded in Los Angeles last year, the Crank 2 soundtrack is Patton's first foray into feature-length film scores, having previously composed the music to the short film A Perfect Place. It will be released 17 April. |
i'm not sure what to think of this. reunions are usually lame and money driven. i'm thinking ipecac records needs some cash more than FNM wants to tour.
also gives the nixed-coacella gig rumour a new light. smooth PR move. |
Personally I just want the opportunity to see FNM, so I'm chuffed to bits :)
|
Not sure it'll be all that good, but at least it'll force Patton to sing more rather than screech, hiccup, belch, noodle hehehe Although that stuff is cool too. Cheers!

he sang just fine on all the tomahawk albums, loveage, and peeping tom.
|
I'd be excited but only if they do a stateside tour. Europe is bollocks.
|
God, it'd be great to see them - i didn't catch them when they were still together, but i damn well should have... more fool me for not going!
|
I wanna see FNM. They should come to Vancouver.
That would be hella epic. Bollocks, I deserve to see Patton with Faith No More. :( I missed my chance with AiC. |
They should also come to Milwaukee... pleeeeeeaaaaasssseeeeee, guys!
|
It's a shame they didn't get Jim Martin back but hey, what can you do! Like Mojopinuk it's just great to see them back, especially as they'll be swinging by the UK for bit.
