There's no comparison, really, metallica has changed for the worst, how do they change by trying so hard to be true to thier roots, art must progress any art, garage days will last forever, death magnetic willbe/hasbeen forgotten

I dont think its a poll but you could play join the dots with Metallica threads in this forum. I wouldnt expect this one to last one very long.

you guys simply don't understand the tortured nature of the band. there's actual depth to their new stuff if you take the time to actually listen to it instead of comparing it to the one trick pony burton days.

i mean seriously neo-classical bass mashed with thrash? ugh. at least slayer had the good sense of just being brutally christian and anthrax was funnier than seinfeld instead of being pretentious nancy boys until they were able to split away from all that cheese about war, and turmoil, and society and really start delving into their art and polishing their craft.

i'm calling it right now the 4th unforgiven WILL change the ****ing world.

Both are severely overrated.
