  • Megadeth
  • Metallica
  • Pantera
  • Faith No More
  • Rise Against

And that's pretty much it. Those last two are more alternative but I threw 'em in anyways. Also, nice place you got here. Glad I signed up.
Since it sounds like you probably like your metal to be straight up rockin', here are a few to rock your socks off:

Slayer—Reign in Blood
Deströyer 666—To the Devil His Due
High on Fire—Death is this Communion
Sodom—Agent Orange

Lacuna Coil
Katatonia
Apocalyptica
After Forever
Eyes Set to Kill

Melvins! They're a bit like QOTSA, but heavier, meaner, and sludgier. A Senile Animal or Houdini are good places to start.

Hmm, ok, I looked at your LastFM library and you don't have any Baroness. I'd recommend their first album, I've been enjoying it recently.

I love the Dropkick Murphys and people like Flogging Molly but I'm hoping to find more artists/bands like them (celtic rock, metal, punk etc). So any and all suggestions are welcome. Please help.

Kittie is an all-girls rock band who proved that even pretty ladies can do angry heavy metal well. They were a really hardcore band. I like them. Wish they are on the mainstream
