Default Delain

The band from Netherlands. They play Symphonic Gothic Metal. Classical soprano vocals and beautiful songs. The first album (Lucidity, 2006) was really good, except one track that had very small part of female vocals. The second album (April Rain, 2009) is VERY good and I recommend it for everyone. It's not heavy (for you, power/speed/prog lovers), very melodic and sedative.

So, anyone into them?

Yeah I like their first album but I haven't played it in a while. Dreadful Shadows are similar too.

Also check out the Dutch band Mandylion who's classic album 'The Gathering' kick started a lot of the genre in Europe.
