Halestorm
I'd have to say I don't like much of the new stuff out today, but there are a few bands that I think have a future and one would have to be Halestorm. When I first heard their single, "I get Off" I though that they sounded just like all of 'mainstream' garbage that's been coming out.
However, I went and saw them headline their first show outside of their home state, and it was absolutely amazing. I've seen probably about 60-70 bands live and their performance was easily in the top ten. They had incredible stage presence (especially their drummer and vocalist) and they've just recently released their first album. They sounded amazing and really drew you in, and created an amazing atmosphere, even though there was probably only 150 to 200 people there. Since then I've seen them once more and the show was even more memorable then the first, and I'm going to see them again with Staind and Chevelle. So I thought I'd post this so you can check them out for yourself. I'm sure their sounds is to "soft" or "mainstream" for some, but never the less I'd suggest checking out of their shows if you can or take a few minutes and listen to their cd or their live EP titled "One and Done" and just let me know what you think. |
they sound very mainstream from what i heard
besides i can never take girl singers in Metal bands 2 serious IMO there are some good ones but they drag there band down and most never reach that Legend status |

I like them a lot. But, they went too commercial on the new album. They have a live album called One and Done from 4 years ago that is awesome.
|
I haven't heard much, but from what I did hear, they are pretty good. I'd love to hear more from them, but Youtube is not the best way to listen to music.
|
I like what I've heard by Halestorm.
As for Strong Female Vocalists...LOVE EM! There isn't enough IMO |
I would so marry that girls voice if I could! (;
|
Damn, when I read the title quick I though it was Alestorm. Awesome pirate band in my opinion.

Anyway, back on topic! I like Love Bites (So Do I) the music and lyrics are very raunchy and that appeals to me, plus the vocalist is sexy (I forget her name) :( |
There is a live set looming around from Xfm or Kerrang... it was incredible... gonna have a look for it

Halestorm is pretty good.
You should check out Losing September. They are from Indiana and have a similar sound to Halestorm. Only better in my view. Losing September is one of the few bands that i know of that actually has a voice and is starting a revolution. |

I love Halestorm! I'm not sure why people compare Lzzy Hale to Joan Jett, though-the two sound nothing alike. A lot of their songs are somewhat "raunchy", but I love them and their "rauchiness"

Halestorm is amazing, Lizzy Hales voice is so strong and dominant, I just saw them for the first time when they were touring with The Carnival Of Madness tour, and it was amazing, I've been a fan for years.

I only heard of Halestorm fairly recently, but I have to say I'm impressed with the whole
band--good to see some decent hard rock songwriting and playing! |
LOVE this band - maintstream or not. Loved everything they have put out and am excited to see them in November.

I miss the misery, drove to AZ from here (1051 miles) and xm played it about 40 times which I was ok with.
