they should have released an EP and then actually finished what they started in the studio for the album instead of just loading up a disc of half baked gems. Reptiles and Gunman are the only tracks that i think i'll come back to in the future, i've got the Led Zep catalog if i ever feel like anything else on that disc.

I love this band!! I kept heard their name mentioned on the radio but had no clue and decided to search them on the net. I love 'em!
Mind Eraser, No Chaser... love this song!

Them Crooked Vultures?

Anyone heard of them?

I know who plays in it, John Paul Jones, Dave Grohl, and Josh Homme

Anyone download it?

Is it any good?!?

Good album, everytime I hear it, the more I like it.

When those 3 get together you could tell they were gonna make some serious noise and that's what they've done.

I would go see these guys live anytime. In my opinion they do have their own distinctive sound-- and I like it! Glad to see John playing in something again. I am also happy that David Grohl had enough of the Foo Fighters. Their last single was so horrendous, I didn't even think about checking out the album.

In my book, Josh Homme is underrated. QOTSA actually came out with some good music. His bloody voice is contagious, and his guitar playing is quite original.

Bump for these guys.

Yep Josh Homme is definately underrated as a musician/guitarist, everything he does is great! Not only for QoTSA but also his work in other bands such as Kyuss and Eagles of Death Metal.

I really like the TCV Album as well and it probably is a bit of a grower, the first time I heard it I thought it was alright, but with each listen and getting used to the tracks it gets better. Favourite tracks have to be Bandoliers, Gunman, Reptiles and Nobody Loves Me....

I'd definately recommend it to any fan of the musicians involved.

how did Josh Homme suddenly become underrated? he's probably the 2nd most name dropped rock guitarist on the net behind John Frusciante and his bands have garnered critical acclaim since the mid 90s.

Oh lol. To me he is, because I never hear about him. Maybe he is just 'rated'.

Dave is right, Homme is certainly one of the most mentioned musicians in the last ten years. As a guitarist, singer, and songwriter Homme has amassed acclaim in the rock community in several different bands/groups and has certainly laid the foundation for a legendary rock career.

Maybe if you hang around this forum for awhile, you'll become an expert in opinions and one-liners like everyone else.
