Люди Осени

Violin and guitar and stuff, great atmosphere. Listen or don't.

Loved it, got anything more like it?

The Unfan 10-03-2009 07:06 AM

Yes, plenty.

Arya Stark 10-03-2009 12:50 PM

Wow. This is intense. I love it.

I also recommend Grayceon for a great violin/Heavy guitar combo.

Arya Stark 10-03-2009 03:16 PM

Yeah? I'll look into that. ^_^

I agree that their music is very appealing. If only I spoke Russian (?) so I could know what they are saying! I listened to all 5 songs that they have on their webpage. The 3rd and 4th songs are my favorites. Song 3 is moody, with a lovely incorporation of stringed instruments...I think cello and violin. I enjoyed its use of the scratchy, eerie sound violins can make (and classical violinists like myself usually try to avoid). It was refreshing to hear this sound used for good effect. This song also includes the male lead singer's extremely low, low voice...perhaps the lowest male voice I've heard in a long time. Sadly, no English translations appeared available. Can anyone here translate?

Song 4 begins and ends with the sound of waves. After the peaceful introduction, the song transitions to a lively, heavy beat that sounded very "Russian" to me. The song made good use of string instruments' ability to slide from note to note, and I especially liked the grungy electric guitar entrance near the end. A very contemplative piece.

I'm sure you could find some sort of translation somewhere.
Even on their page.

I absolutely love the singer's voice.
I also like that it's more instrumental than just voice.

Aww, I scanned their pages and only saw the lyrics in Russian, but I'll have to check again. I actually prefer the instrumentals to the man's voice. I didn't want to say that earlier since it sounds critical (*is* critical), but I felt his voice was so low it distracted me from the melodiousness of the instrumentals. Still, I do feel his voice is very unique and I can understand how you'd like it. I wish his voice were a little higher, though. (Is *this* the time for our first fight? Ha ha!)

I liked the sweet, moody parts of the songs best...the parts that didn't have anyone singing. Oh, but I do like the grungy rhythm electric guitar parts, too...because that is one of my favorite sounds. So, it isn't *just* the sweetness of the songs that I liked. I have my moods, in other words, and like songs that capture them :) :( :bringit:

...the last emoticon being for *you*, of course.

I believe this is time.
BITCH, HIS VOICE IS FINE.
SKJDFGEKSFHGKWEJHF.

I respect that you don't like is voice. [=
I personally believe I wouldn't like the music as much if his voice was any different.

^ For you.

Oh, oh, I am speechless!

With laughter, that is!

(What is skjdfgeksfhgkwejhf, by the way? Indignant spluttering? PM me, you minx.)

No, but seriously...the lead singer did have a very good, brumbly, low voice. And I liked the Russian accent, the trilled R's. Is it Russian? Ukrainian? I don't know! I think any song in another language besides English is interesting to listen to, though, because you are forced to hear just the music and extract meaning from that without the lyrics altering perceptions. Except that I love meaningful lyrics. So I miss the meaning.

As always

I can't believe you actually typed out my little word splatter, there.
That was quite the one-sided argument, hahaha.
I don't think I'd be able to extract the meaning out of the song.
Who knows, maybe the lyrics are subtle and don't rhyme and don't make sense at all.
You never know.
