Hello all, does anyone know if Billy Talent are still playing in the UK? Im desperate to see them again. They gave such an amazing atmosphere. Does anyone else have any opinions on them?

Theyre not planning on it, but who knows, they might be later on... Theyre amazing though, love those guys to bits :)

I hate those no talent bums....thier like nirvana suck at everything but songwriting.

They do have talent! Well, in my opinion they do anyways.

In my opinion thier just a stupid rip off of nirvana and way overated.....

they used to be me and my ex, ex, ex, exs band, we loved them, but i havent heard them for a while now.

^ the only reason iv bin out with a few lads is cuz they want one thing and once they get there off, im wise to it now, it wont work now.

Haha, its nice to hear someone else doesn't see the big deal with these guys. Everyone I know is obsessed. You hit the nail on the head there, the songs are good but they lack some other important things.

The only people i`ve heard saying good things about this band are the type of people who`s record collections i`d wipe my arse with.

I`ve not heard them , and It`s staying that way

I'm thinking about getting their CD, Is even worth it?

I don't know about billy talent but most bands that famous usually have more than one CD out already. And haven't we already had a thread on this band? It either was closed or died a while ago. For good reason.

I've never been in this forum before, so I don't know how many Billy Talent threads there are. Also, I figured that was their fist one because it's self-titled

i have yet to see anyone mention this band on here. i think they are definetely an underated band, even by myself. they came out with their first single "try honesty" and then kind of...disappeared. luckily i bought the cd which rocks. im not sure what their doing now but im sure the making of a new album is in the works.

Not a massive fan, but I like some of their stuff.

Good band... I love The Ex.. That was the song that urged me to buy the album. Try Honesty was awesome too... But Living in The Shadows rules too. I pretty much just love that album really. Even though Ive heard many people saying they're over-rated and whatnot, I honestly havent heard them being 'highly rated' a lot. Hmmm.

maybe its because you dont live in canada, but in canada, they are very mainstream. they have released 2 more singles after try honesty and made videos for both of them. they won best artist and best album on the juno awards for 2005 (canadian award thing) and they have won lots of awards from much music too.

aside from that, they use to be my favorite band... until they got overplayed on the radio

I can back that statement up..They were everywhere round here.

yeah, they're all over here, but they do have some awesome songs, and some sick guitar riffs too, which i love. simple, but not redundant.

I am Canadian and I still don't get it. Why are they such a challenging band when real talented musicians from here get ignored here and adored elsewhere? I am sure any Brits can attest to Death From Above 1979 and any Yanks can attest to (meh) Propaghandi. These are bands that are from my country and are virtually ignored, I am sure they are extremely dismayed that they haven't been nominated for a Juno award Ha Ha!!!:mad:

I only just heard of billy talent 2 months ago lol... But i live in australia so yeah... I havent read the whole thread but have u heard there 2 songs Surrender, and Devil In A Midnight Mass.

i like billy talent i think theyre quite good

I don't really liek this band. I noticed when they cam out... well when I saw there first video here in canada on Muchmuisc, that they were like the first band on there to scream.. well during the day anyways.. and I didn't really like that.. looked fake with them and forced, there songs weren't bad but unlistenable after a while.

but... the members do make me laugh when they talk.. why? because they all have the ***est steriotypical sounding voices in all the land.. more so the guitarest... which I'm being told is amazing. anyways ha!

I use to be really into them, I have the one with try honest and the ex, I think its self titled. Its okay, nothing special or even that good. I mainly listen to it when I listen to Our Lady Peace, 3 Doors Down (better life) and shiz like remancing *spelling sucked stfu*.

It's called Billy Talent II, apparently they are going to the same album-naming scheme that Led Zeppelin went with.

They are one my favorites or sure. I love the vocals, and the bass lines especially but or criticism, I'd hve to say that I do have a hard time telling the ongs apart until they get to the chorus.
