The Eagles are cool, but I don't really think 'Hotel Calafornia' is a rock song. It's more bluesy pop. It's a cool song. Great live acoustic version.

C) guitar solos are not the most important part of a song to many people, fair enough in songs like sweet child o' mine they are memorable but not always necessary, they do not make the song!! In fact, listen to Keane, they rarely if not seldom have a guitar in their song
