Cage The Elephant

Anyone else listen to them? They're probably one of the most unique bands to debut in the past year and I think they would appeal to anyone who likes both newer or older music.

Their single "Ain't No Rest For The Wicked" has been getting some publicity lately (Borderlands trailer/opening movie and some movie trailer as well), but their other stuff is really just as good.

Discuss.

"Drones in the Valley" is orgasmic. And they're on a videogame commercial. Thats okay with me, they're good enough for me to look past that.

I'll be the first to admit that video games are a wasteland of ideas, but what's so wrong with having your song on a video game commercial? Some can be quite good. Remember that 'Mad World' themed Gears of War commercial?

Nothing, they actually pick quite good songs about forty percent of the time. And iPod commercials usually have catchy tunage too. Just the regular notion that selling out=bad.

better not let boo boo hear that.

as for putting thier song in a commercial, i don't care either way, plenty of my favorite bands have commercials with their songs and that just gives me an excuse to listen to more of their stuff

Yeah man. I heard that song on Sirius months ago. Came home to watch it on Youtube like 50 times over the next week...and then sorta forgot about it. Then two or three days ago I saw heard them on that Borderlands trailer and was like, "Oh hey yeah, that song!"

They definitely have a cool style. Gonna check out Drones of the Valley and I should probably get on their other stuff if you say its good as well.

I heard the band perform Ain't No Rest For The Wicked live on Jools Holland and thought it was solid enough to get the album but it's boring diluted blues tinged Rock that lacked real balls. Shame as they seem a little more raw live.

tbh, after checking out a bunch of their other songs i found some stuff that was ok but really ANRFTW was what stood out to me the most. really though i have to ask where the **** is the slide guitar in the rest of their songs?!
