it's not because it's against rap music it because they wanted to apply censorship to a predominantly non-white style while removing any element of censorship to a predominantly white style. what else do you call that?

you might also want to try reading an understanding the full comment before trolling next time too. i said they were bordering on racism with their initial comment. the door was still open to graciously remove their foot from their mouth, or they could use the youthful ignorance card by not remembering how close actual censorship came to happening in the late 80s. if they were only born in the 90s slack would be cut and knowledge would be dropped.

do you actually have something worth reading to say about censorship in music or do you just want to keep arguing semantics?

My only point in this pointless thread: Censorship in any form sucks. Freedom of expression is all we have, the one thing that's left. **** censorship <- @ fuck being bleeped.

Well, all music genres have the occasional F word or killing prostitutes; either way, we can't be for one and against another no matter how much we dislike one.

I think if they dont censor one then they cant censor the other. I can see why they would censor it in the radio were theres little kids listening, and I hate it, since a song is playing and it ramdomly gets muted or the lyrics change. You should listen to addicted the song about how the guys misses having sex with this girl and in the radio version is really different

I dislike the argument "It's negatively affecting children". Anything that people see a need to censor is most likely not for kids in the first place. If you can't keep your kid from seeing Marilyn Manson, you probably can't parent. :P

This thread is so wrong.

But it's the wrong threads that make me laugh.
