Modern Rock (need suggestions)

I am looking to expand my music collection and I have recently stumbled upon a few non-mainstream bands that I liked and I would like a few suggestions of more. A few of my favorite bands right now are:

Element Eighty, Crossfade, Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle, Flaw, Shinedown, SOAD, Three Days Grace, Cold, Disturbed, Death Cab for Cutie, The Postal Service, Audioslave, Nickelback, Incubus, Staind and The Killers

A few of my older favorites are:
Metallica, Pearl Jam, Rage Against the Machine, Sublime, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Nirvana, Guns N Roses, Creed, etc.

I'm not a big fan of excess screaming like Killswitch Engage, although I do like a few of their songs that are lighter. I'm not a metal guy.

Can you recommend some music to me that I may not have on this list. Mostly non-mainstream stuff.

Are Killswitch Engage considered excess screaming? I like a few songs, wouldnt say they had a big amount of screaming in though. Is some of their stuff I havent heard a bit more... screamy ?

Thanks for the list, however a few comments.

Eiffel 65? How is that rock? I guess since I have only heard one of their songs I can't really comment.

Also, a few of those bands are too heavy for me. Atreyu and Dillinger Escape Plan stick out because I have heard some of their stuff and it just gives me a headache.

Also, about Killswitch, I like a few of their songs like "The End of Heartache," but a lot of that album is screamy.

It isn't. They are one of the worst bands in the world. Let me explain their genre to you: Europop, Electronica, Trash.

Did someone really list Ozzy in a thread that wanted non-mainstream bands?

Anyway, do yourself a favor and don't concern yourself with mainstream/non-mainstream. Whats good is good, if you pay to much attention you become snobby like the tools that write for Spin.

Why no? Incubus has integrity, I don't think Incubus made the same CD thus far. Like them or not, there doing alot better than bands that get super hype.

For every Howie Day who says he'll change his sound every CD and doesn't we'd be lucky to get a band like incubus who says nothing and actually changes styles. Though they did speak out heavily againa rap/nu metal.
