Default Mix Speaker's Inc.

To begin with, Mix Speaker's Inc. is a japanese visual kei band(that combine rock, pop, and electronic). Most of you probably have no idea what that is...so i'll give you the rundown. Visual kei is a kind of band known for having elaborate costumes, usually to emphasize a theme(usually a band theme) There have been many bands fitting this genre, from X-Japan to Dir en gray(a band that has opened for decent north american bands, so there're not exclusive to Japan).

So you might be thinking "why would I listen to some random Japanese band, I cant understand a word of it" While that might be true, the band goes through great lenghts to create an atmosphere with their music, and place the listener in their own little world, with energetic catchy songs(there are a few slow ones as well). The theme of the band is that they are a monster family, with Miki as the older brother, Yuki as the younger brother, Seek as the Grandpa(and looks most like a monster) and Aya and Keiji as the parents(who look half-monster). Their music describes the various adventures they go on, with each album describing one particular adventure. At their concerts, they create an atmosphere that engages the entire audience in the fun, games, and good music. Honestly, this is the kind of band that, if you like one song, you'll probably like them all. Their concerts cost huge amounts(which they clearly have with their massive japanese fanbase) and take a year to plan. I could only describe them as a well done "concert party" filled with great rock, pop, and dancing(all very interesting and energetic)

Well, thats my little rant on them, as you can probably guess, this is one of my favorite bands. Their creativeness, and the lenghts they go through to get it out there are always an inspiration to me. They just prove what can really be done if you suck it up and play what you want to play, and never be afraid to get your sound out there.

Few songs to look into:

Junk Story
Thirteen
Monstime
Crazy train a go go
