I laughed pretty hard at that interview, the bassist kind of took in stride where the vocalist's self-importance really showed through. Anyways, their image looks like what a toned down GWAR would look like if they tried their hand at gothic/black metal. From a sound standpoint (this is after cycling through a few youtube videos) how many "evil" whispers and electronic symphonic elements can we fit into one song? All in all, just not very good to me.

i don't know about their image. I don't really care for it that much. my dislike is really based on their music.
This shows that you probably listened to some Mayhem, Gorgoroth, and maybe some Darkthrone and just wrote off the whole genre as ****ed. Black metal is probably the most progressive metal genres there is. Sure, a lot of them just want to rerecord De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas, but on the other hand you've got Satyricon, Ulver, Emperor, Burzum, Immortal, Blut Aus Nord, Dodheimsgard, Spektr, Deathspell Omega, etc, etc, etc, that make some of the most non-comformist music you'll ever hear.

I personally couldn't give a **** if the music is "non-conformist" or not (whatever that means), it sucks, and that's all there is to it. Look, even the ****ing band names are retarded. Darkthrone? Deathspell Omega? ahahahahaha. Do all these bands consist of depressed 6th graders?

The only 6th grader here I'm guessing is yourself. Now go away and come back when you've developed a proper understanding of music and learned how to converse with people properly on forums.

What does this even mean? I'm only pointing out that if you're going to bash bands and genres you know absolutely nothing about then take it somewhere else.

I'm tempted to say Anal Dissected Angel, but out of serious metal bands, probably Judas Priest. I'll actively slam the vast majority of metal music, but they're just... ugh...
