Read a review that thier CD "Leviathan" was the second coming of "metallica and rush combined."

While I didn't know there was a first coming of Metallica and Rush, I want you're opinions. I plan on picking the disc up today anyway, but if theres been a huge misunderstanding and it sucks, let me know.

I checked it out. Its pretty good. I see the Metallica and rush comparison. The vocals wer a litlle lackluster, but other than that I really liked it.

band is better than almost every metal band right now

Its not bad. Not great. Vocals are kinda sketchy but the music is definitly heavy.

mastadon are ok...but the vocals could be cleaned up a bit

One of the best metal bands around today.

If you like Isis, Dillinger Escape Plan, Neurosis and of course the brilliant High On Fire, you will assuredly like these fella's.

I don't know how to class these guys as Leviathan, their latest album, moves on a bit from their previous album. Last I saw them regarded as was Math Metal and Metalcore and even Prog Metal.

good band, and i love the lyrics, who else writes a song about whaling? no one, thats who. amazing drumming as well.

They were hailed as the next Metallica...weird...I'm not huge on them, but they are definitly sweet live.

hmm..i just checked em out. not bad. i wouldnt say they're the next metallica. they arent bad though. i like "crusher destroyer" and "seabeast". their guitar work is pretty good. im not too big on the vocals, but musically they're a pretty sweet band. i can see why theyd be good live.

I wouldn't hail themn close to metallica not even close but they still are pretty awesome march of the fire ants is a great song:)
