I searched, but didnt find anything about them at all. Portal are an Australian Avant-Garde Blackened Death Metal band (not that they've been pigeon holed much lol). Their music is very atmospheric, every album could be used as the soundtrack for a horror film IMO. The best way I could describe their sound would be Immolation's music, with the breathy vocal style of Bolt Thrower, all mixed together with the Filosofem era Burzum ambience

LOL. I'm intrigued (and a little confused by what looks like a cuckoo clock on his head - I guess it's some sort of tabernacle?).

According to Wikipedia;

I ****ing love Portal. I plan to put them up when my turn on the Metal Wars thread comes up. They're not the most accessible DM band, but if you like your death metal with a feeling of near formless horror slithering/crawling/shambling up from the depths of your subconscious to pull you into the depths of the void, then Portal is for you.

P.S. I've been meaning to ask EvilChuck if his avatar was a Portal reference, but I guess this answers my question.
