Bass - all bassist are the same in metal

that's not true. Every bassist has their own unique way of doing things and the way they sound. You're just not paying attention.

no its true, metal and hardcore (while possibly containing great bassist) have none that are famous or at least known for their ability. So thats why i said it. plus, bassist are easily replaceable.

I feel like that wouldn't work if it wasn't for one thing: Mike Patton. And because of him, anything can work, so I applaud thee.

I think Fripp and Lombardo would get along really well, as weird as it sounds.
