Best live performances!
Who performs live the best. I know some bands are apparently **** tho they have great albums out (deftones i've heard) APC were great live but i'm biased as that was my first eva concert and havent had any major band concerts live since
|
i went and saw mudvayne the other weekend and they were AMAZING!!!!! best live band ive seen in awhile
|
True, yeah mudvayne arent half bad aye. I saw Slipknot on tv live from england somewhere the other week. They look tank. Bit stupid how the lead singer cant sing the last few songs coz hes too puffed but the band still makes up for that
|
bes band ive seen live is muse. subways look good live too
|
Well, I've not seen all that many concerts on account of being a teen mom at early 17....but I would have to say ACDC and the Rolling Stones....
I guess those make up for lost time on lots of dinky pointless shows huh? |

Ive gota agree, ive seen APC 3 time and the are undescrible live, Maynards voice is utterly enchanting. But ive seen MUDVAYNE 4 time one was a privte club tour that only 500 people went to and hands down that was the best show ever they ****ing through down. :band: |
Gwar, hands down. nuff said.
|
I haven't really seen a good show is a LONG time, but I hope to see Muse, I love that band with a passion, and I respect the lead man ALOT.
Also, anyone who can pull off a sick guitar riff and then lay down 3 arpeggios on the keys is a genious in my eyes. |
Godsmack - they actually did a drum battle. Awesome.
Just saw Crossfade the other day, and they put on a pretty good show. |
Best band I've seen live is the Rolling Stones, absolute class!!! :)
|
^ gee, from your username I would have never guessed.
Was this show before or after Mick & Keith got dentures? |
The best live performance i ever went to was Slipknot
|
not sure yet; but i'm off to see motorhead and in flames in november:D
|
motorhead, now that would be good to see.
Slipknot5555.....did joey do a drum solo for you guys? i hav this vid clip on my comp of joey playing the drums while on a tilting platform, hes buckled in and at one stage hes playing them vertically, pretty cool to watch. |
Converge, for me.

My favorite shows would have to be:
1. Sleepytime Gorilla Museum / Wow! The atmosphere they created was astounding and profound, and they were able to pull it off in a small club in Columbia. Think post-apocalyptic turn-of-the-century mind****. Yeah. 2. Tool / In the full swing of an amazing acid trip at Bonnaroo '07, Tool took the stage after The Roots as the sun left the sky and unleashed with their entire visual arsenal to accompany their amazing live performance. 3. Alice In Chains / Though Layne is dirt now, William DuVall not only held it down, but brought it to a new level. I've been listening to AIC since I was in my single digits, so seeing them live has always been a dream of mine anyway. 4. Dropkick Murphys / You can't go wrong with a band that packs the house with a bunch of happy-drunken, rowdy people. I suffered nerve damage in my elbow from their pit, but life is full of that kind of **** and I'm glad it happened during such a good time. 5. Bad Religion / They have much the same crowd as Dropkick, but not as drunk. That, and I love their music-content combination. |
The Grateful Dead, Talking Heads, U2 and R.E.M. are all great, as well as Queen, which is perhaps the greatest live band.
|
haven't seen any big bands except for metallica, which was ****.
But the local South African bands give it a good bash on stage with most of them actually being better live than on record. |
Motorhead can put on a show without all the tech, and Dinosaur Jr. does great stuff on guitar and jamming live, and also sound good, but you can't hear the vocals. With the tech, Judas Priest and Heaven and Hell (Dio's Sabbath) puts on a great show. AC/DC is pretty good also.
|
The best band I have seen over the last few years was definitely Ministry. So damn tight. Best raw band I have to say is Napalm Death, seen them so many times and the energy was always real and never forced.
|
I meant to see Ministry when they came here.

Damn it, Jim.

Probably the best show I've been to was Mudvayne with 10 years and Snot, and Snot just blew me away. After that I'd have to say Slipknot, and then Apocalyptica, But I've got quite a few shows coming up so...
|
Best live performances!
For me AC/DC, Roger Waters, and Bruce Springsteen most recently :band:
