Stone Temple Pilots are from California.

Shouldn't this be in the rock and metal section?

A moderator is able to move post to rock & metal if need to be, Although STP was from Ca. It doesnt change the fact that they were from the same era. and played basically the same style of music as the other bands. They are a west coast band, correct? I dont feel that STP is to far off base from the other bands on the poll. (just my opinion)

What about all of the stoner metal like Kyuss that was cut off because of this scene? They are from the same era.

There were a lot of bands from the same era. So many that I won't even attempt to make a list. STP followed the tracks made by the others on the list. STP were a good band, but I don't think they were on par with the others in the list.
