No problemo dude, you've introduced me to plenty :)

Anyways, recent metal:

Katharsis / Black Witchery - The Portals of Light / Untitled tape
Akitsa - Soleil Noir tape
Impurity - Bonfim Moritvri Mortivis tape
Sect Pig - Slave Destroyed tape
Bathory - s/t vinyl

If you aren't familiar with Akitsa, their sound is at once distinctly black metal but unique. The punk influence is less d-beat and more Oi!, the Industrial influence more Throbbing Gristle & Power Electronics, less goth.... very good band, whose members have worked with or put out splits with Prurient, Satanic Warmaster, Bone Awl....

Sect Pig is outsider black metal. Rumors say it's by J Reed (revenge's drummer and mastermind).... and some describe it as Von on LSD, which makes me cringe and imagine "Black Meddle" pt.20. Truly, I think "outsider black metal" is the best term for this band.

I've haven't heard impurity before, but I trust Darkness Attack's output.

Really digging Akitsa. Definitely not the dense atmospheric sound I've come to associate with BM in a good way.

tapes:
Destroyer 666 - Cold Steel... For an Iron Age
Destroyer 666 - Phoenix Rising
Destroyer 666 - Defiance
Aksumite - Rubber Room

lp:
Aksumite - Self Interference

Destroyer 666 are a band I've liked since back in high school, so it was cool to scoop up some official tapes and support the band without paying ridiculously marked up LP prices.

Very nice. Earth 2 is one of my favorite recent purchases; it's a great album for driving.

Anyways;

Marduk - Panzer Division Marduk
Marduk - Nightwing

both tapes.

Killswitch Engage - Incarnate (Soooo damn good, better than Disarm The Descent which was stellar on its own.)

Extol - Extol (If you're not familiar with them, and you don't mind a Christian death metal band, check them out.)

After The Burial - Dig Deep (A very nice album after the death of their guitarist, he'd be proud. In the big mixing pot of bands doing this sound, these guys have always raised the bar and stood out, not as much as August Burns Red has, but they do good nonetheless.)

Bury Tomorrow - Earthbound (First actual album I've bought from these guys, I don't regret it at all. It's a solid album.)

Hacktivist - Outside The Box (A well above average rap/metal fusion band. The album is strong and has some great ideas that work. Other bands trying to pull off this sound should take some notes.)

Votum - Ktonik (So...think of a mix of Katatonia, Opeth, you got these guys...it's the closest example I could think of. If you like either of those bands, you'll dig Votum.)

From Ashes To New - Day One (Do any of you remember Hollywood Undead? I try to forget them but will admit I own their first album, the only one with anything listenable. Well. Now we have From Ashes To New. This sound that the band carry like a torch is actually would I'd call revitalized, as Hollywood Undead never expanded on that sound or did anything for it. From Ashes To New do however. The album is a rap/metalcore mix and it's actually a pay off, it works. These guys could likely take that sound and make something of it. Potential is there.)

Enslaved - In Times
Enslaved - RIITIIR

I'm sure people know who this band is. If some of you don't. Get familiar now. Enslaved rules.

SikTh - Opacities (I bought this bands 2006 album Death Of A Dead Day, back then I wasn't as in to this kind of music as I am now, but I did enjoy it. Death Of A Dead Day never connected with me on any big level. But this new EP is pretty good.)

Silver Snakes - Saboteur (Not sure how describe these guys. But I guess they do have a bit of a Deftones sound to them. If that is your thing. Check the album out. I liked it.)

Prong - X-No Absolutes (It's Prong. The name speaks for itself. 2016 and another great album.)

Black Tusk - Pillars of Ash (A household name among many. They play a mean brand of metal. And it is good.)

I've bought other albums. Those albums bounce around from Pop to Alt and Indie bands mostly, some nu-metal throw backs too.

I love those last two Enslaved albums. I'm also a big fan of their other 11. I'll have to check out some of those other bands you listed, there's a lot there I haven't heard.
