Remind me of a 90s Rock music...

It goes like this: -

Chorus

"*drums* DADIDAADIDADIDIEEEEEH...DODADIDADIEEEEH...DIDADIDA DIEEEEEH, I CLOSE MY EYES!! AAAAH DIDOODIDADIDIEEEEEH, DIDOOODIDADIEEEEEH, DIDDODIDADIEEEEH DADADAAAA...."

As you can see, i can't quite remember the music unfortunately, but some of it is still in my head.

This is some awesome music you got there, but its not what i am looking for. Nope. Its more of a hard rock style than soft

This is soft rock? Did you only listen to the beginning or something?

Dude, i am quite familiar with this song, and i have listened to it a lot of time. But i am pretty sure it isn't the one that i am looking for.

I've heard the music that you have mentioned before from this: -

Okay, but if that isn't hard rock to you what do you define as hard rock? I ask because it's one of the few clues you've given as to what song you're talking about, and since we clearly have different ideas about what constitutes hard rock, it would be helpful to know what you mean.

Yes, that's a remix of the song I posted.

JackSod 08-28-2012 06:53 AM

Hard rock involves something as similar to this: -

Janszoon 08-28-2012 06:54 AM

So hard rock to you is 80s hard rock? And you're looking for and 80s hard rock from the 90s?

I am not 100% sure whether it is from the 80s or 90s, but i am sure it is somewhere between the 80s or 90s, my apologies for the confusion

GrapevineFires 08-28-2012 07:42 AM

I think it's something by Kenny G.

So.... are all those DaDIADIAIDIAIDAIDADADIAIA supposed to be drum beats or vocals?

How is 'I close my eyes' sung? is it a hard scream like you write or something more like 'I close my eeyyyyyyyyyyeeess.....'?

When's the last time you heard the song? Did it get a lot of airplay? Hit single? or some album track on a forgotten disc?

'I CLOSE MY EYEES..' part is sung like a hard scream on the chorus, and all the dadidadidum are supposed to be vocals in the chorus, i couldn't remember the exact words..last time i've heard it, it was around 2 years ago and yes, it was on air.
It was one of the most popular rock/metal 80s-90s music, and uploaded on youtube with a huge amounts of views in it.

But now, i've forgotten the name of the music, and just the 1/4 of the lyric's chorus remains

close call...that is an excellent music, but it isn't the one that i am looking for unfortunately...last time i saw it, was on Youtube, and there used to be a live recording for it

Edgukator 08-29-2012 08:20 AM

a few ideas, but not sure I have your answer

Boston - More than a Feeling
Clawfinger - I close my eyes
Third Eye Blind - Narcolepsy
Queensryche - Jet City Woman

Trollheart 08-29-2012 02:47 PM

Scratch off Boston: I'm sure he'd remember that song starts from a fade and builds to a big drum and guitar climax. Plus, the "I close my eyes" is secondary in terms of, er, scream, to "Drift AWAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY!"

Edit: anyway, Boston "More than a feeling" is from 1976...

And it doesn't have a female singer.

Unknown Soldier 08-29-2012 03:23 PM

Could be a Heart song.

Edgukator 08-29-2012 05:51 PM

I totally missed the female singer as well (although in my defense, the guy from Boston uses his soprano range on it). That has totally thrown me, so just researching possibilities.

OK, female singers to famous hard rock bands in the 80's / 90s

- Jefferson Starship
- Heart
- Pat Benatar
- The Pretenders
- Patty Smyth
- Berlin
- Warlock
- Lita Ford
- Joan Jett
- Snake River Conspiracy

Slightly outside the genre
- Fleetwood Mac / Stevie Nicks
- Blondie
- Kate Bush
- Nightwish (but its only late 90's)
- Cranberries
- Garbage
- 4 Non Blonds

There are a whole bunch of Riot Grrl / Punk / Alt bands that I can think of, but guessing its not these... I've tried searching for lyrics but found nothing...

JackSod 08-30-2012 02:18 AM

Ok, i've done some digging on the internets, and by far, this is the closest rock style music to what i am looking for: -

I think Nightwish is probably the closest to what i am looking for, but somewhere sang on the chorus she says 'I CLOSE MY EYES!'

Debatable.

JackSod 09-09-2012 06:17 AM

So, what do you guys think the song might be?

Rpbr 09-11-2012 01:13 AM

Madonna - Like a Virgin.

Definitely!
