Remind me of a 90s Rock music...
It goes like this: -
Chorus "*drums* DADIDAADIDADIDIEEEEEH...DODADIDADIEEEEH...DIDADIDA DIEEEEEH, I CLOSE MY EYES!! AAAAH DIDOODIDADIDIEEEEEH, DIDOOODIDADIEEEEEH, DIDDODIDADIEEEEH DADADAAAA...." As you can see, i can't quite remember the music unfortunately, but some of it is still in my head. |

How is 'I close my eyes' sung? is it a hard scream like you write or something more like 'I close my eeyyyyyyyyyyeeess.....'? When's the last time you heard the song? Did it get a lot of airplay? Hit single? or some album track on a forgotten disc? |

It was one of the most popular rock/metal 80s-90s music, and uploaded on youtube with a huge amounts of views in it. But now, i've forgotten the name of the music, and just the 1/4 of the lyric's chorus remains |

a few ideas, but not sure I have your answer
Boston - More than a Feeling Clawfinger - I close my eyes Third Eye Blind - Narcolepsy Queensryche - Jet City Woman |
Scratch off Boston: I'm sure he'd remember that song starts from a fade and builds to a big drum and guitar climax. Plus, the "I close my eyes" is secondary in terms of, er, scream, to "Drift AWAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY!"
Edit: anyway, Boston "More than a feeling" is from 1976... |

Could be a Heart song.

I totally missed the female singer as well (although in my defense, the guy from Boston uses his soprano range on it). That has totally thrown me, so just researching possibilities.
OK, female singers to famous hard rock bands in the 80's / 90s - Jefferson Starship - Heart - Pat Benatar - The Pretenders - Patty Smyth - Berlin - Warlock - Lita Ford - Joan Jett - Snake River Conspiracy Slightly outside the genre - Fleetwood Mac / Stevie Nicks - Blondie - Kate Bush - Nightwish (but its only late 90's) - Cranberries - Garbage - 4 Non Blonds There are a whole bunch of Riot Grrl / Punk / Alt bands that I can think of, but guessing its not these... I've tried searching for lyrics but found nothing... |
Ok, i've done some digging on the internets, and by far, this is the closest rock style music to what i am looking for: -
