Yeah, Old Man Gathering Sticks is a pretty great album, but I prefer Old Lady Darning Socks.

That doesn't mean it's any good ;)

Apart from the usual suspects and I would put Pink Floyd's Animals there (but that is a cliched choice) so instead I will go for this:

Full of Sci Fi movie and T.V samples (unusual for the time), California Rock, Psychedelic grooves and a wry sense of humour, it is certainly one of the more interesting albums put out in the 70's.

I personally think that Bostons debut is actually one of the best albums released during the 70s. But that of course is based on the musical taste of each individual listener. If I remember correctly, Boston spent a few years in the studio producing their debut. I was shocked when I seen them in concert and they sounded absolutely outstanding live as well.

I mentioned the debut statistics only for the purpose of information concerning the band itself. Not because it was the only reason I chose that particular album as being one of the best albums during the 70s era.

There are just so many good albums that were released during the 70s that I like a lot, but I remember Bostons debut as making the biggest impression on me personally. :)
