Recording Techniques on Black Clouds and Silver Linings

Hello!

I am in the middle of a school-assignment on how the guitar-sound on Dream Theater's Black Clouds and Silver Linings came to be. My text have to include both John Petrucci's own decisions when it comes to gear, and Paul Northfield's choices in microphones and decisions in the mix.

I am interested in info regarding the album as a whole, but also specific info on "The Shattered Fortress" (Petrucci's sound is just killer on that track).

Does anyone have any information when it comes to this? Any links to interviews or pictures or anything that might be helpful?

Thanks in advance!
