Im excited about the new Sabbath stuff. They probably arent at that point in their career where they feel the need to push the boundaries or anything but its nice to hear from the band that has done so much for metal.

After 1 listen through, I like it. Very familiar and endearing to me. They have their formula, and it still works. The only crit I have is that Tony's solo was a bit thin sounding. Dunno, could be that I haven't listened to BS in quite a while now, and this has motivated me to make a compilation CD with this kicking it off. Looking forward to the release in it's entirety.

I really enjoyed this single. It's refreshing to hear Ozzy's voice sound as grizzled and as raw as it does. To accuse Sabbath of engaging in cliche is a little bit laughable in itself. Butler's lyrics have always been limited to a few choice themes, this is evident all the way through the 70s, if the lyrics adopted the philosophical ambitions of Pink Floyd, the same people would accuse Sabs of being pretentious. I'm excited to see what else 13 will have to offer, i just hope the majority of fans can look beyond the "no Bill, no Sabbath" mantra and appreciate good music for what it is

I did say that Butler's lyrics had always been confined to a few choice themes...and on that note, what exactly do you want Ozzy to sing about? It's the metal community that has made it so Sabbath could never write another 'Sabbra Cadabra' or 'Planet Caravan'. It's become so nostalgic that Sabbath are now an archetype. If they wrote 'feel so happy since I met that girl, when we're making love its simply out of this world" they'd be panned by fans as turning queer and becoming a pop band. They're damned if they do and damned if they don't. Metal fans have made it that way

See most versions of the song without the "I Heart Radio on Demand" thing intact were removed. But I am sure you can find it, do your own searching.

Anyway. I think it is a good single, not great.. could easily fit on an Ozzy solo album and be just as good. Doesn't scream Black Sabbath to me as much as I thought it would. But I still think it is a decent enough track.

Well if they released a single from an album it clearly means it is a money issue, and, it is probably not enough close to vintage. Interesting that the title 'God is Dead?' includes a question mark. Well, as God lives He would be dead already. It would be amusing if all the spewers in the fanaticism front reached the pearly gates, and, Odin will be standing there
