Alter Bridge. Yes, I rather fancy this band a lot.
Creed as a band, they've produced some good music, it's a bit arrogant to say they haven't, even if you're not a fan. That's an issue common among people in general. You don't like a band, singer, whatever...somehow, absolutely nothing that band or singer puts out has anything redeeming or good about it.
Back to Alter Bridge...
When it comes to the debate on Creed versus Alter Bridge. I argue that Alter Bridge is the better band with a much stronger singer pinning the lyrics, alongside Mark Tremonti who I think is a stupendous guitar player, the guy deserves so much more praise than he's received. I've been listening to Alter Bridge since their first release. My opinion is that they've gotten better with each album, and contrary to what blackdragon123 has stated, the vision or message, what the band wanted to achieve with each release was not lost in translation, but fully realized and achieved. There is some impressive material on each album the band has, and some of the best written hard rock I have heard in a long time. Patience was not a forethought for the band when making each record, texture or substance are not things each album lacked, rather they had an abundance of both.
Alter Bridge is a band of well rounded, musically educated individuals that I have a great respect for. Myles Kennedy is one of my favorite singers. Mark Tremonti is a guitar player I am very fond of, he's a guitar great and could play with the guitar players he looks up to, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, and he'd hold is own effortlessly. Some regard Mark as a shredder, but he's much more than thought. I'd advise referencing all of Alter Bridge and their material, actually truly listening to every song to see why I say that.
Great band. Alter Bridge will go strong for as long as the guys want to keep the rock behemoth going.
