Velvet Revolver or the original bands Guns N' Roses and Stone Temple Pilots?

i love Velvet Revolver. and of course i love GNR and STP. although i think VR is not as good as STP and GNR i do think VR has future potential. whos to say if they will ever measure up. but in any case what are your opinions?
Old or New???????

thanx, peace,

I've gotta agree with you on that one. Old STP was incredible, as was GnR, but I think with the talent VR has from the two, they could be better than either of the contributing groups ever were...as long as Scott Weiland can keep himself off the horse.

Love old stp

Classics never die :-)

I love STP and GNR but VR is a supergroup, you can't beat that.

TheBig3 07-06-2005 06:23 PM

You can't? I think unsuper groups kick their ass...

Trauma 07-06-2005 06:31 PM

You think so?

In the words of Ryan Key of Yellowcard.
"We're sort of an unsupergroup".

So yeah, I'd say Yellowcard definitely beats the hell out of Velvet Revolver.

Oh yeah....definitely......not.

I agree totally although i think Velvet Revolver has a good mixture of both STP And GNR sound.

Guns N Roses were better to me than Stone Temple Pilots although i loved them too.

Loving Dirty Little Thing though

Top song!!!!

Originals always seem to be better along with Audioslave no having a patch on RATM or Soundgarden

PhishFood 07-07-2005 09:54 AM

Yeah super groups are always destined to fail, VR is great musicians getting old.
