I Need Someone Musically Smart!
I am doing a song analysis project on the song Everlong by Foo Fighters (I tried putting a link but I cannot due to rules). I need to know the following about it, but cannot decipher them:
Meter: Key: Form: Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
It's definitely in drop D tuning and pretty much in 4/4 for most of the song.
|
Meter: Dave Grohl is about a meter long, yes.
Key: Though I've head they're all quite generous people, I doubt any of the Foo Fighters would give you their keys. Form: I believe the Foo Fighters usually take human form, but I've heard rumors that their drummer turns into a spider at night at drinks the blood of the innocent. Hopefully that clears everything up for ya. |
Going purely from memory, it's as Chula mentioned, and I believe it's Dmaj with a 4/4 time. So, you'd have thus:
Meter: 4/4 Key: Dmaj Form: Going from this very straight forward explanation of form, you could easily pick it apart yourself. You can't expect others to do all your homework for you. On a side note, I had no idea that Genesis' ABACAB was named after the songs form. On a side, side note, that was pretty funny Blarg. |
And as a side not to the other two side notes, Dave Grohl is probably one of the coolest Rock dudes on the planet. It's on my bucket list to meet the guy, for sure.
