Oh, there's definitely blues here. Just don't think the album as a whle has a particularly distinctive bluesy feel to it.

JGuy Grungeman 01-28-2016 08:06 AM

I said a little blues, didn't I?

TechnicLePanther 01-28-2016 04:09 PM

Yeah, sorry Batty, but just because one track sounds like Cream doesn't mean the whole album is blues rock. It just fits much better into Garage.

TechnicLePanther 01-28-2016 04:10 PM

County Killers is on Blues Rock now, as we already have a Fleetwood album. I decided that Fun House isn't Blues at all, because jazz fusion isn't blues. Also, we already have a Proto-Punk list, with Raw Power on it because the Stooges' debut is also their worst album.

grindy 01-28-2016 04:15 PM

So Fun House is jazz fusion? It gets curiouser and curiouser.

Frownland 01-28-2016 04:45 PM

I mean, there's a saxophone, but that's about as jazz oriented as Fun House gets.

JGuy Grungeman 01-28-2016 05:00 PM

I'd say it has jazz rock elements. Only a couple tracks, though.

grindy 01-28-2016 05:03 PM

Saxophone doesn't equal jazz.
The sax on Fun House's b-side is played in an unjazzy manner. The compositions themselves aren't jazzy as well.

TechnicLePanther 01-28-2016 05:03 PM

I didn't say Fun House is jazz fusion. I said jazz fusion isn't blues rock, and therefore there is no blues rock in Fun House. This only means that I believe there are some jazz fusion elements in it (which there definitely are).

Frownland 01-28-2016 05:06 PM

Beyond the saxophone, which elements would that be?
