I feel sorry for his son, and his family and friends. He will be missed.

RIP indeed. At least he lived one hell of a good life right up to the end.

Is there a Saint of Loud? ....Saint Lemmy ...lol

CoNtrivedNiHilism 12-29-2015 10:43 AM

I'm gutted.

He and his band bad pure rock n' roll, no bullsh*t, just straight up, and in your face. You want a great example of rock done right. Motorhead is your go to. They were metal too.

I listened to nothing but Motorhead all night at work. Had it blasting in the backroom while I did my work.

Damn. RIP Lemmy.

He lived like he wanted to, died without a long drawn-out goodbye. Awful to see him go, but glad he had a quick release at least. Farewell, Iron Fist. :(

Plankton 12-29-2015 12:09 PM

I'll never forget seeing him open at Ozzfest '98:

"Hello Wisconsin. This is your fucking wakeup call!"

...and into Iron Fist they went.

Saw him in the 90s... unforgettable experience. Let's take our hats off to this lad, whose music will live on forever. Cheers, Lemmy! Ozzy said it: see you on the other side!

Saw him perform w/ The Head Cat in August at a tiny venue in Dana Point. Glad I went and saw the Legend before he passed. Certainly Music 101 for aspiring Metal Heads the World Round. The unique thing about him was his love for other music and his ability to span genres and still create amazing music. Dude was a beast on the 4 string for sure, and had one of the most unique voices in rock by a long stretch. Adios you cheeky bastard.

So who else is going on a Motorhead Tribute Marathon? I plan to end the day with Ace of Spades.
