What is a guitar soliloquy called?

In drama, when a character goes into a long winded speech all by himself, they call it a soliloquy. What is it called when the guitarist in a rock band does the same thing? For example, when Guns 'n Roses' Slash has a guitar solo in November Rain (in the video, it's the scene outside the church).

It is generally just called a guitar solo, as mentioned. It could also be called an 'instrumental section', or 'passage'.

Maybe you're looking to find the passages contained within, as in arpeggio's, or scales?

Nah, guitar solo will do. I thought it would be something more specific than that.

Guitar Soliloquy would be a killer band name though.
