i like most of those bands, but my final pick would be a split decision between guns and roses and van halen.

There isn't one.

Def Leppard for me, I love Joe Elliott's voice.

Ps. Guns N' Roses and Van Halen aren't hair bands.

Lizard king you must be telling some sick joke...saything that Van Halen and GNR arent hair metal bands is like saying Zeppelin wasnt Rock N Roll and BB King isnt Blues....You're stupid

They were NOT hair bands, a band cant be a hair band just because of their hair, but also the way they sound....

Bon Jovi was clearly a hair band...
Same with Def Leppard (After High N' Dry)....

Guns N' Roses is hard rock, not hair band....same with Van Halen.

all the bands on the list are also hard rock bands, who happend to have big poofy hair, from 80s/90s, i think GnR and VH fit in that category. there were alot of better bands with long hair that i didnt put on the list because they werent hair bands..just about any metal band from that era had long hair but arent considerd hair bands.

Dude lizard king i see where you're coming form saying that GNR was harder than a lot of them.....but most definetly not Van Halen Man......

Whitesnake. Bon Jovi is good. So is Cinderella. Guns N' Roses is great, but Whitesnake is better than em' all :D

If long hair and metal influences make you hair metal, then Soundgarden and Nirvana are hair metal.

These are the ones I've seen. As you can see, I saw some of them before the got their own headlining show. Axl Rose was an ass. Blackie Lawless threw out posters of himself. David Lee Roth was a complete ass.

I'd have to say, my favorite of this group is probably Twisted Sister. But not because of that We're Not Gonna Take it crap. You want the good stuff, get a copy of their earlier work, You Can't Stop Rock and Roll. Top notch.

Guns N' Roses, just cause for the short while they lasted i loved all of there songs (lies most tho) and non of them sounded the same..

second would be my favorite all time 80's rock band bonjovi.. but i couln't pick them first because well they suck now so they've ruined it for me.

Skid Row were also pretty good.. even tho they came at the end of the hair bands.. and were better then most of them.. the voice the lyrics everything seemed deeper and more real coming from them.. then they disapeared..

No! i'm talking about when i got into the bands.which by the way was in the 90's just after they broke up, GNR that is. And i've had a love for Bonjovi sense i was five.. odd i know but its my fathers fault.

Good old Def Leppard is my pick. Has anyone seen their video hits DVD? It's insanely cool. Their hair is mullet5000.

i hate the mullet.. my father still has one.. haha hmmmm.. i found the long bushy hair to be better, the mullet was just dirty trailor part looking.. well depending how people wore it.. some wore it well.. but not many.

I'd pick GnR cause I loved Appetite when it came out, i'm hopeful but not expecting anything from the new album.

i voted for bon jovi, cool sing along songs when alcohol consumption has got the better of you and their old videos make me chuckle! :yeah:
