Italian rock/metal bands

Hello! Do you know any Italian rock or metal bands? If the answer is yes, I would like to know your opinion about them.
One of my favourite italian bands is Litfiba. I saw them live the last year for the first time...and I hope to see them again one day.

Sure thing. Zu, Black Engine, Bachi da Pietra, Ovo, Lento, Zolle, Dead Elephant, Morkobot, Ufomammut, and Psychofagist are all great bands—the last two are flat out two of my favorite metal bands and Zu is one of the greatest experimental jazzy, quasi-rock bands out there.

I know of a few, not too many. I wish I knew more. The ones I came across like that Le Orme and Frozen Autumn. Le Orme are a Prog Rock band that started back in 1969. (Giuseppe) Domenico Scarlatti is an Italian composer, his sonatas are often transposed for guitar. I discovered him through the Classical guitarist, John Williams. The song Collage uses Scarlatt's K380 in the middle of the song.

The Frozen Autumn are a Dark Wave band started in the mid 90s. They are from Turin. They remind me of a band that sounds somewhere between New Order and Depeche Mode.

Sabina Sciubba from the Brazilian Girls is Italian/German. She was born in Rome, and grew up in Germany. She knows six languages, Italian, German, English, Portuguese, Spanish and French, and can sing in any of those six languages. Brazilian Girls are based in New York city, and started in the early 2000s.

Le Orme - Collage

John Williams - Scarlatti: Sonata in E Major, K 380 (L 23)

The Frozen Autumn - When you are sad

Brazilian Girls - Jique

Janszoon and Neapolitan, you know a lot of bands of which I've never heard about, except for Le Orme and Ufomammut! I will listen to the other bands you mentioned....however, I'm glad to know that Italian rock is not so unknown overseas!

You're right! I love Goblin and I also like a band called PFM (Premiata Forneria Marconi), have you ever heard them?

I love them! The only reason I didn't post them is that I couldn't find any videos, except for some live videos with very bad quality. I guess the other vids are not available on youtube in my country.
Glad to have a fellow italoprog fan here.
Make sure to check out the album Darwin by Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, if you don't know it already, Couldn't find any studio recordings of it on YT. Believe me, it's amazing and a true prog masterpiece.

Maybe I could find this album between my father's cds collection...otherwise, I'll listen to it on Youtube!
