Part musical history, part true crime drama, part tabloid rag, and part examination of National Socialist doctrine. This is the best music book I've ever read and one of the best books I've read in general. You don't even have to like black metal to love just how bat**** insane everything is in this book.

Lords of Chaos

my three favorite are...

England's Hidden Reverse

a wonderful and very thorough examination of the English post industrial underground music scene with particular emphasis on Current 93, Coil, and Nurse with Wound

Yé-Yé Girls of '60s French Pop

a great and detailed look into the greatest event in the history of sound....Yé-Yé

Our band Could Be Your Life: Scenes from the American Indie Underground, 1981–1991

a critical look into underground music and underground scenes

A few years ago I read "Sound of the Beast" by Ian Christe. I loved it!
