Metal Showdown (Round 9) - Metallica vs Megadeth
http://www.musicbanter.com/rock-meta...vs-slayer.html
It's been a few months since the last round, where Metallica won against Slayer 9-6. So now here we are with another great band from the Big 4 in an attempt to take down the mighty Metallica. Metallica Nothing much to say here. Tallica is still the reigning champ at the moment, but can they overcome an old nemesis, the frontman of... Megadeth Dave Mustaine will get his chance at revenge this round, and will be bringing everything he's got. Mainstream metal fans will most likely still prefer Metallica, but the deeper core fans may turn up in huge numbers to cast their vote for the 'Deth. My Verdict In this particular election, Megadeth is getting my vote. Clearly the better band of the two, despite the other's more widespread popularity. More consistent album releases, more anger, especially in this year's Dystopia, and despite the band's creative up's and down's, still releases material that outshines Metallica's sparse output over the last twenty five years. |
Anyone who doesn't like Black album is child molester.

I think it was the name of some soon-to-be metal magazine that then had to pick a new name.

Because of this, I'm choosing Metallica:
|
I chose Metallica because the only album I really care about from Megadeth is Rust In Peace.

I'm gonna have to break it down
Megadeth - 4 albums I love, 2 that I like a solid amount, 3 pretty decent ones, 1 that just blows, and like, a bunch of wildcards Metallica - 4 albums I love, 1 that I like a solid amount, 1 that is between okay and decent, 2 that have some okay material but also a lotta sucking, and 2 downright horrible albums So I think Megadeth wins |
