Iron Maiden or Kill'em All?

Which metal debut album do you prefer?
The self-titled album by Iron Maiden or Kill'em all by Metallica?

Blue Hawk 11-19-2016 11:41 AM

I prefer both.

Frownland 11-19-2016 01:21 PM

Iron Maiden's debut isn't even that great. Kill Em All easily.

The Batlord 11-19-2016 01:35 PM

Early Maiden is awesome but Kill Em All is one of my most dickridden metal albums of all-time.

However 'Strong Arm of The Law' and 'Show No Mercy' are far better than 'Iron Maiden' and 'Kill'em All'.

The Batlord 11-20-2016 03:22 AM

Strong Arm of the Law is not a debut tho. And it's still not better than Kill Em All.

Show No Mercy is much better than Kill Em All and Strong Arm of the Law is better than 3/4 Maiden's albums.

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 11-20-2016 07:53 AM

The only thing better than Kill Em All is Kill Em All.

Blue Hawk 11-20-2016 08:32 AM

Slayer is better.

The Batlord 11-20-2016 10:26 AM

Nah you're just a poseur.

Frownland 11-20-2016 10:32 AM

I prefer Slayer over Metallica. Kill Em All is definitely as close as Metallica ever got though. Slayer just sets a crazy high bar.

Are you a ***tallica ***boy?

I support the rights of badass riffs such as these. Rate not hate.

"Black Magic" is fantastic but "Final Command" is back album filler.

Blue Hawk 11-20-2016 01:30 PM

Anyway, significance of Metallica's debut often exaggerated. Kill Em All is often considered to be first speed/thrash album, although it's not strictly true.

The Batlord 11-20-2016 01:40 PM

You know what makes Kill Em All more significant than those albums? The fact that people have actually heard of it. Kinda hard to be significant when you're insignificant.

Also, those couldn't fit KEA's left nut into their mouths.

Mondo Bungle 11-20-2016 04:24 PM

KeA is better than Maiden and Killers combined and I love those albums

Kubinator 12-23-2016 09:14 AM

Kill'em All, Iron Maiden's debut isn't as good as Killers. If you chose Killers instead, I would have a diemma.

Texas Boy 01-22-2021 06:30 AM

I think this debut trumps all albums mentioned here:

Kill Em' All no doubt.

I am, but it sounds like you don't need to be. That said, I think KEA is the weakest of Metallica's first 4 albums.

I think Iron Maiden debut is quite underrated. It always gets the least attention and credit from the 80's Maiden discography.
