Peter Gabriel-era Genesis or Fish-era Marillion?

Your pick between two notable musically similar British prog bands?

For me it's Genesis and it's not even close at all.

Fish was too much of a Gabriel wanna be. Even down to the makeup.

I also like Steve Hogarth era Marillion better than Fish era.

That's a hard one. I love Fish era Marillion, when they were actually a progrock band, and I love Genesis with Gabriel, same reason. I suppose Gabriel as Fish basically copied a lot of his vocal style, but then, Gabriel ripped off Hammill so...

I'll get back to you on this one.

Definitely Peter Gabriel era Genesis. Nursery Crymes, Foxtrot, Selling England by the Pound, The Lamb... all solid albums. I don't bother with Fishy Marillion or Hogarthy Marillion.

Do you mean it doesn't matter to you who's singing, or that you just don't like Marillion?

Both, I guess.
