Big Lebowski - I hate the ****in' Eagles?

Three questions for you:
1) Do you agree with "The Dude" and the majority of rock critics who hate Eagles?
2) Why is this country-rock band massively popular among American rock fans and NOT among critics? Their Greatest Hits album is second best selling album in the US.
3)Do you consider Eagles music to be more country or rock?

I am not a fan of them, but I don't hate nor think they suck, I like a few of their tunes though. But I could never get such a big popularity of this band on domestic grounds. And I always consider their music to be more POP and COUNTRY than ROCK. And their sound knows to be pretty one-dimensional at times.

Your opinions about them?

I actually like the Eagles music, but I think they're a bunch of assholes.

The Eagles are definitely lame and probably have sex with Pink Floyd.

Way better than any Eagles tune!

Joe Walsh is literally better solo than the Eagles all together. In fact, the Eagles probably ruined him.

I didn't know they added ****in into their name.

I think they more Country flavored Rock aimed at AOR. They went from a jam band in early 70s to a band with a more and more defined signature sound to become what you said a "pretty one-dimensional" band.

The band I think that would be better defined as "Country Rock" would be Outlaws.
