Symphonic metal: Epica vs. Within Temptation
 

Symphonic metal showdown! Epica or Within Temptation? And why?

Oh, yuck. Neither.

Not really a fan of either, but Within Temptation might at least be a bit more catchy. Epica just bores me on a deep, primal level. It's music with no soul. Basically, if Mark Jansen is involved with a band, I'll find it as flat and dry as cardboard.

I've always been a bigger WT fan than one of Epica. The latter's constant use of growls annoys me; it's so formulaic at this point you can almost tell when they're going to do it. I kind of only listen to them because of the Kamelot link.

Simone Simons has nice hair and a pretty face but is kind of generically hot, whereas Sharon den Adel has a more interesting face and bigger boobs. So Within Temptation win for me, cause those are the only things of note about either band.

For once we agree on something related to this genre.

Boobs >>> Music, certainly.
