Is Judas Priest the most consistent band of all time?

So while looking at my most inconsistent rapper thread (shameless plug check it out) and looking at the 70 vs 80s Judas priest thread my brain just mashed the thought of consistency with the music of Judas Priest. Sure they have some albums that IMO aren't the GREATEST thing i've ever heard, maybe 3 or 4 that are mediocre but idk if they have an album that is just down right awful. That poses a the question. Is Judas Priest the most consistent metal band of all time?

No one will agree with me, but I think all 15 Megadeth albums fall on a spectrum from 7/10 to 10/10 - which means not even any mediocre albums.

I'm not all that familiar with the Judas Priest discography, so I don't really know what I would say there. It's one of the more obvious holes in my metal knowledge.

If Risk and Dystopia didnt exist Id agree with you.

I guess Priest are pretty god damn consistent, but I can't say that their discog appeals enough to me as a whole for me to trumpet them from the rooftops.

If everything after Risk didn't exist I'd agree with you.

Well, I like Risk - and I think at least one other MB member does too. Maybe that would be one other at most
I even think Risk is the better of the two by quite a stretch! It's got some really good alternative rock songs.

Dystopia mostly suffers from sounding too compressed and too sonically uniform across all songs, but I really like several of the songs.

I have yet to be bored by one of their albums.

I'm not a metal head and I can't opine if Priest was consistent or not.

But they are one of the few metal bands I can listen to.

I mean, I could listen to any Priest song any time. So, sure.

Probably not the most consistent band of all time, or at least that'll be pretty hard to put to the test. I had my day of JP worship - British Steel, Point Of Entry and Screaming For Vengeance are some of my all-time favorites. As I've grown older, a lot of their other releases have grown a little bit "meh" on me, but they tend to release solid albums especially with Halford on vocals. Tool in my opinion has released some really great stuff, but they only have four full length albums. Megadeth has a lot of good stuff, Motorhead, Sabbath, Zeppelin, Opeth, Death. I'm even missing one or two!
